A little bit about Be Fuller

Be fell in love with climbing at the age of 16 and has now been enjoying the sport for 9 years; 8 of which she has been an instructor!

After achieving a first class BA Hons degree in Adventure Education she travelled for a year rock climbing, surfing and snowboarding around New Zealand. Soon after her return home she became co-director of an adventure company, however, soon decided to go at it alone and set up Be Climbing in January 2013.

She competed in the 2010 British Bouldering Championships achieving a top 10 ranking and is now sponsored by Evolv and Metolius.

Her greatest outdoor climbing achievements include a boulder problem called ‘La Barre Fixe’, 7b+ (Elephant, Fontainebleau), the first female ascent of an English 6c called ‘Change in the Weather’ (High Rocks Annexe, Southern Sandstone) and a fantastic sport route called ‘El Chocco’, 7c (Brean Down).

  • An excellent day out! Not only is Be’s tuition first rate but she provided a well organised personal climbing session tailored to our requirements and in a beautiful setting too (Stone Farm). Be’s wealth of knowledge provided us with great technical insight and was confidence inspiring too - “Always trust your feet!” I would recommend Be Climbing time and time again

  • “I’ve had 5 coaching sessions with Belinda and it has lifted my climbing to a different level. Her calm, encouraging manner combined with her emphasis on footwork and control has been perfect for me. One of the most important lessons I have learnt from Belinda is about climbing in a more energy efficient manner rather than bullying my way up the wall. Watching Belinda climb is also a great way for me to learn and an inspiration too (she seems to climb so effortlessly) and I look forward to learning more! “

  •  “My eleven year old daughter has been climbing for a couple of years now but it’s only recently that we were introduced to Be. Within a couple of lessons I noticed immediate development. Her technique has improved dramatically and my daughter is fuelled with even more determination. Be communicates brilliantly and coherently and has the knack of being able to bring the best out of my daughter enabling her to reach her potential. The fact that Be is a really accomplished and talented climber also serves as great inspiration too.”

  • “I wanted to say a huge thank you on behalf of all of us for a brilliant afternoon on Friday. The children are still buzzing about it and Bryan is desperate for another go. You are an absolute natural at teaching and your enthusiasm is inspiring.”

  • 'The past 8 days in Spain with Be have transformed my technique, technical ability and enthusiasm for climbing. Scarcely able to navigate an outdoor 4+ 8 days ago, I now feel safe leading independently outdoors and have successfully achieved my goal of leading a 6a. Be's emphasis on climbing with efficient movement and perfect technique has allowed me to climb far more challenging and technical routes without the need for brute strength or burning forearms. Her unmatched expertise and energy also means that it is practically impossible to leave the rock without being totally gripped to do more! '
